Although the lines are clean, I don;t like the camouflage that every robots got. Apparently its supposed to be shading

I'm really starting to wonder what they are doing with the ongoing. They seem to be using it almost like a scratch pad while the limited run series seem to be getting the best treatment. I'm not complaining (Last Stand of the Wrecker has been outstanding) its just I would have thought that the Ongoing would have been the premier publication.

All covers including the 'Rodimus' one are now in the OSS store - but the comic arrived in the UK a day or two late and won't be sent out by Diamond Comics until next week now. :-( www.oneshallstand.com/shop/ongoing/issue7.htmlA kind of agree with s2h6 about the spin-offs. I thought the point of having an ongoing is to run all the stories in those pages, even if it means making them a two-parter. Or how about running a back-up strip so that we get two TF comics in one? I suspect the reason the spin-offs have not been made redundant is to keep up IDW's output of graphic novels for the all important TPB market. Wreckers I think is slightly different as it is a very distinct story, unlike say TF Bumblebee and TF Ironhide which is must closer to the Ongoing and could sit within its pages. Not sure where the story goes from here really - it looks like Megatron is coming back and there could be a bid by Hot Rod or somebody to reclaim the Matrix - but I hope whatever Costa does, the pace picks up a bit. After a good start I felt that the last couple of issues where dragged out a big. The story could have been told in four or even three issues instead of six I think.

mmmm.... this story has started dragging it's feet recently. Still, now that the art's relatively normal, i'm finding it easier to digest. Infact, reading #7 was like a sigh of relief, it didn't need to be fast for me because i was just unwinding from the first 6 issues (who knows if that makes sense to anyone else...?). @sentinelprime- RE:Shading. I know! How bad is that? They look dirty. If they hadn't penned in the outlines of the shadows it would've looked really cool IMO!
I don't like seeing randoms like toy characters pop in either, I can almost tolerate Acid storm and his dirty mate sitting adjacent, but it reminded me of when they dropped that Scattershot (from the Transformers Cybertron cartoon) toy repaint character dubbed Dropshot (who, if i'm not mistaken was a G1 micromaster) [but unnamed] into an AHM issue, where he was a US military vehicle who popped up in the thick of it and Kup scraps him. And speaking of which, how is it ok to scrap two great characters like Sunstreaker and Ironhide yet Kup got to kill an anomaly from the Cybertron\Universe toyline? gay

It is nice to see that they are keeping Shockwave's new mad scientist personality the same, as I half expected him to challenge Starscream for the leadership of the Decepticons. I suppose logic dictates that it will come to him eventually! Nice to see Bombshell and the emergence of the cerebro shell. It is amazing how iconic and important both Megs and Prime are to their respective sides. This was also apparent in the Marvel comics as well, though back then the decepticons did seem to rally better than the autobots

Good to have EJ back in the art driving seat, mostly because the characters look like geewunners again. That said I am quite fond of Don's Rodimus cover for this book. Nice to catch up with the Decepticons and I particularly enjoyed that it was narrated through Megatron's perspective. It felt like a scenesetting issue re-establishing the decepticons, which is fair enough as long as it steps up a gear with issue 8. Speaking of which - it's in stock this Thursday!

lol... that cerebro shell incident was perfect, and it left me with a cheeky grin on my face for ages. I had to put down the book for a few minutes and get a coffee to straighten me out. ( what's the name of the con who copped it? he had 2 targetmaster companions in the toyline... or was he an unpopular headmaster? help me out please someone). The con that got munched near the beginning was one of the Powermaster combiner jet brothers, right? I can't remember anyones names today. I loved Megs stating- RE: whatever Shockwave was working on "NO ONE HAD THOUGHT TO CHECK. NO ONE WOULD KNOW WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING AT IF THEY DID", sick. Reading it for a second time now I've actually come to really appreciate the pace of this issue and the coarse narration or internal monologuing of Megatron.
I don't really miss Don's art. I wonder how long he'll keep doing covers for this run? So far I've had all A Covers except issue #3: Wildman's Hotrod and now, issue #7: Wildman's Megatron. They're my favorite.
Issue#8 coming out that soon??? I'd swear i only just picked up issue#7 a week ago! My postman has some explaining to do!

It was Quake who copped it, he was one of the double targetmasters. It was Dreadwind who got munched at the start, Darkwing was his bro they combined to make Dreadwing.

Wow! The scene has really shifted!
I wonder where they are? On the moon maybe?
A good opening episode tho. Loved Megatron's silent musings. So effective opening with his character motto, and great to 'hear him thinking aloud'.
Good to see a retrospective look a what happens to the cons when their leadership is taken away too, it generally all spirals into depravity and self obsessiveness. It really brings back just how powerful Meg's really is and what kind of an ironlike fist is needed to rule the cons and keep em all in order.
There seems to be quite a few targetmasters/powermasters/headmasters 'dead' now and waiting to be 'reborn' in these guises. I guess that bits coming soon, maybe thats what Shockwave is workin on!!
I really like the art! And i dont even mind the camo stuff, kinda reminds me of G2 days :-)
And it was awesome to see Acid Storm make his debut comic-book appearance! Im guessing thats Sunstorm sitting with him, his fellow Rain Maker! And it looks like they've both been drawn on the classics toy mold! I wonder if that means we're gonna get a new Sunstorm figure in the near future based on the Starscream Classics mold! Im keepin my fingers crossed!
And my fav covers have been by Andy Wildman!!
