So we've almost finished Bumblebee and got Ironhide and Drift to look forward to, it looks like the character driven minis are here stay (for a while at least) who would you like see get a whole 4 issues devoted to them?
Personally I've got quite a few. Lets start with the Autobots.
Omega Supreme: as we saw in Optimus Prime's SL he has quite a history going far back before the war started. I'd like to see a tale with him that included the bulk of the Ark 1 crew and their dispute over Nova Prime's Expansion ideas and Jhiaxus's experiments.
Ultra Magnus: his missions for the Tyrest Accord and revealing just who the Tyrest Accord are.
Kup: several stories from his past on different worlds.
Now the Cons.
Dreadwind and Darkwing: where are they now after Stormbringer, did they stay on Nebulus to continue Scorponok's work (bring back the Mechanibles)
Swindle: how many dodgy deals can he do?

Autobots;
Jetfire - always been one of my favourite characters and criminally underused in the stories so far.
Roadbuster - after the reference to the "Roadbuster affair" in LSOTW I'm curious as to what that might be.
Jazz - loved the spotlight solo, would love to see a mini series, he's like the Autobot equivalent of Jack Baur or Jason Bourne.
Gears - the first Transformer I ever bought and thus I have a soft spot for him!
Star Saber - Japanese G1 'Supreme Commander' - a seriously cool 'bot that has loads of potential to be a great series.
Decepticons;
Soundwave - another all time favourite, loved the Furman take on him during the UK Marvel run and would love to see that character again.
Ravage - always been a seriously cool bad ass, maybe a series featuring all of the cassettes?
Reflector - potentially a fascinating character, a gestalt but completely different to any of the others, so much story that could be explored.
Overlord - loving his appearances in LSOFW and would happily read more!
Skyquake - G1.5 'bot, always thought of him as the Decepticon equivalent to Jetfire when I was a kid, two jets about the same size.

I'd like to see a Metroplex, has always been my favouriate and I don't really think the Metroplex Spotlight was a Metroplex story. It would be good to see what it was he was protecting and what he has been doing all this time.

Agreed, the Metroplex spotlight was a wasted opportunity. I can understand how he's too big to interact with other characters in a normal bogstandard way but the spotlight could have conveyed his personality in subtle ways - such as his city walls or doors/lights etc guiding and assisting the Throttlebots. I dunno that a mini-series is a good idea though, going off the spotlight i just think it'd take ages to go nowhere. The lingering questions from SL Metroplex need answers though, but maybe a Magnus mini-series would be a better vehicle to explore them and Metroplex could even cameo.

I'd love to see a face off between Soundwave and Blaster which included some of Blasters Japanese cassettes. Its already been well set up in the Blaster spotlight and is just ready to happen! I'd also love to see Magnus get a series which showed how he came to be an enforcer and explain just what the Tyrest Accord was and how it applies to the Transformers.

I like to see a serie of Galvatron. What is he up to? Will he lead the decepticons?

I really like that Omega idea, and fully agree with Steve about Metroplex. and yesss, it would be great to see characters like Star Saber, who practically evade the western market entirely. oh yeh, Reflector would be sick too, GREAT idea. Wouldn't it be cool to see some Quintessons? and find out they were somehow influencing the transformers events in some way or another from some obscure location somewhere in the galaxy and with out a trace. gawd, i love those ugly bastards

I think a Metroplex handled in the right way could work but I think you would probably have to look at it in longer timeline. As opposed to the current issues which take place over weeks I think it would probably have to take place over years. This would go along and really push the fact that because of his size things take time. The other thing is I think for it to really work it would have to focus on the character himself and by that I mind his frame of mind and how things are seen from his prespective side by side with the perspective of the regular Transformers. For instance with him being so much bigger and slower than a regular sized Transformer he would probably have a different view of time and be less prone to quick decisions such as Hotrod. Also some similarities could be made where for instance at times he would probably feel helpless to help his fellow Autobots because of his size and slow speed Bumble has often felt helpless because small size and lack of power. Like I said it would be easy to do by any means but I think with the right approach it could work.

i kinda fell into this thread courtessy of the poll on the home page. as nefarious is basically soundwave and maximum dinobots was really a grimlock mini when you think about it ,those two from the list have basically been done. so i picked metroplex. yes i think ultra magnus could be a great cop/ political type show but in a way we've seen that sort of thing before (he's basically judge dredd) so a mini on metroplex has alot more possibilities. if only because it'd be so hard to pull off, i too was disappointed with how the spotlight worked out (in no small part that i learned feck all about metroplex in it ! ) so a 5 part mini with him has potential to go in some very interesting directions. from introspective character peices when acting as home to the autobots (how he feels about bots living in him, the mundane things needed to be done to maintain him, his relationship with his drones etc) , to the sheer INSANE level of violence your talking about when he's in active combat in battlestation and bot modes. he doesnt even have to lapse into cliche in combating his peer (trypticon) . in fact i prefer the idea of him taking on squadrons by himself , actually BEING the last line of defense he''s supposed to be. ya'd also have issues like why is he on whatever planet he's on, what could possibly makes it deserving of such immense protection ? etc. dont get me wrong i love the other bots and cons but guys like metroplex , trypticon, omega supreme are just literally in a differnt league from their compatriots and as such are a vein of story telling that i dont think has been tapped to any great degree. hell space pirates is STILL basically the only decent screen time metroplex has got so a mini on him or his peers gets my vote
