Just read this. Any one else read it, as don't want to spoil the issue?

The Sunstreaker story was excellent, actually really felt for him!! I'm a bit gutted that they've written him off in this continuity as I was hoping for a bit more of the kind of interaction between him and Sideswipe that we saw in the latter Dreamwave stories; the two hard as nails brothers kicking Deceptibutt. Bit like the Grant and Phil Mitchell of the Autobot forces :-)
Not so keen on the Galvatron story, thought the artwork was a bit iffy and it just didn't intrigue me like it was supposed to.

The Galvatron story was largely incomprehensible. Hopefully all will become clear in time and I wouldn't bet against the 'darkness' or whatever it is, turning out to be Unicron.
I agree though that the Sunstreaker story was the real draw. I really enjoyed that too, especially the bit with SS strapped down and screaming while humans are chopping him up. It felt like something out of a horror film. Flashbacks worked well but I didn't end the story thinking SS was written out, quite the contrary. When the bridge was blown up in AHM 8 it looked like SS couldn't possibly have survived, but now we know he has and he's lying among a pile of bodies, in a dreamstate and barely fuctioning.
I'm sure SS will be rescued in time and that'll open up a whole new can of worms.

Sorry guys, I've got to disagree with you. I felt that the Sunstreaker story didn't tell us anything that we didn't already know about him, apart from the fact that he's still functioning.
I much prefered the Galvatron story dispite it's plot flaws ie Galvatron stating that Cyclonus could stay in our Universe the longest, when we know from Furman's Galvatron and Cyclonus Spotlights that Galvatron was the one that could stay out the longest. Also the appearance of Scourge goes against what was said by Starscream to Megatron about him in an earlier issue of AHM. Overall though, I can't wait to find out what the Darkness is, just hope it's not a rock group lead by Justin Hawkins, hee hee!

I don't think SS is out of the continuity either. If he was, why make this story, to "tie up loose ends"? What do you guys think Starscream and Megs know about Scourge? From the story, he seems like he was part of the original Ark crew?

Streaker'll be back. No character in comics ever stays dead for long.
There was a long running joke in the industry that the only people that did were Uncle Ben and Jason Todd, but then they came back. lol.
We'll see him again no doubt.
I wanted to see more on Hunter, when it got to revalation the entire human cast just got ditched, so a bit more of what happened to them would be good. Especially when Bombshell started playing wih him.

Streaker stayed in a non functional state for a veerrry long time in the original comic (from issue 10). He was only seen again in Perchance to Dream (out of continuity) and in Totaled, where is was then killed again. He next appears against Unicron. Still a pretty long time to be dead.

My take on this is that Sunstreaker was rendered non-functional by Bob Budiansky in the Marvel stories just to illustrate the point that this is war and there are casualties.
If TFs were able to come back time after time with ease it would take the edge off the conflict, so he leaves it in doubt by having Jazz say 'Doc's not sure if he [Streaker] will ever be functional again'. Likewise when Bob killed off Optimus it seemed pretty conclusive, albeit with the caveat that he might have been saved in part on a floppy disk (a ridiculous idea in all honesty).
In normal circumstances Sunstreaker might have been restored a lot sooner than he was, except for Hasbro's relentless release of new toys and the requirement that these be showcased in the comic. Bob (and to some extent Simon F in the UK) were too busy introducing these new characters to spare a thought for poor old Streaker.
So when he re-appears in the 1988 story Totalled (after three years of non-functionality) its almost like an afterthought. I think Bob knew he wouldn't have an opportunity to make a big deal of one of the original characters, so he gave him a cameo as a guesture to fans, ie: 'here I am guys, Ratchet did fix me in the end'.

I laughed at the thought of Primes whole personality being able to be stored on a floppy disk! Do you reckon Galvatron's going to go an a time wars style rampage against the transformers? Or is his will not his own this time? He mentions the Darkness, but does this have control over him or is it his own decisions he is making? I'm going for the latter, that is until he finds a way to overthrow the Darkness
