Not keen on the faces, they look all boney and skull like. Who did the art for this one?

Prime with a mouth??!! Just doesn't seem right. Faces kinda remind me of Spotlight Cyclonus. Same artist?

It might be Don Figueroa. He's working on this issue as well as an artist called Chee. There are two stories so I'd imagine Don's doing one and Chee's on the other. Some of those panels remind me of Will Simpson's work from Marvel UK Transformers, but overall I can't make up my mind if I like it or not. Best I can say is at least it's something different and variety is good.
Prime's mouth isn't the shock it once was now that we've seen him with lips in the TF live action movies. I think previous continuities have established that TFs can and do wear visors and helmets and faceplates. Dreamwave did this with Bumblebee and Jetfire presumably as a homage to their toy forms.

The artwork kind of reminds me of the G2 comics, especially on the necks. Does look a bit wierd though.
Quite surprised they did a 5 page preview of this story, thought they would have two 3 page previews from each story. I now feel like I've virtually read the whole story now.

I got the comics on Friday guys. I usually get them on a Thursday but my suppliers sent them to the wrong address (long story). I've posted everyone's copies this morning.

Did anyone else feel that the artwork in the second story was very reminisent of very early Marvel UK TF artwork.

Can't say I was that keen on the art in either story. The Starscream story was interesting but seemed to be lacking something for me. Not sure I can quite put my finger on what.

drheadacherushing - I've posted a replacement AHM #12. As for #13 on balance I prefer the second story as the cons' leadership vacuum is more interesting. It might be better if Soundwave had his own designs on the job but for some reason is being the ultra loyalist here, leaving it to Starscream to plot. Its like he and Starscream have reverted to their cartoon personas. Love the pic of the injured Megatron but for god's sake don't tell me they are all aboard Astrotrain, even with mass shifting he must be the size of Metroplex to fit all the cons and related equipment aboard.

Don Figueroa drew the Ironhide story and will also be doing the ongoing series. I thought he'd had enough of drawing TF so its a surprise - he seems to have developed a new style for the faces. I agree they kind skull like and I'm not sure i'm that keen.

The new look reminds me of the movie look with more individual moving parts, I'm not keen either.
Having said that the AHM look was a little too cartoony for me, somewhere inbetween would be my choice of preference.

I'm not too sure about the Ironhide story. That could have been Spotlight:Ironhide rather than a continuation of AHM. At least Starscream's one did fit in. Loved the panel re ditching megs out in to space!!

Ironhide was connected to AHM though, albeit loosely because it was dealing with how he was feeling bad about accusing Mirage of being the traitor. Maybe the story should have had Ironhide and Mirage as the main characters to a proper sequel, however some instalments of Coda aren't AHM sequels but prequels for the Ongoing series.

Ironhide story was a bit bland. Looked nice though. Starscream's tale by Mike Costa and Chee was awesome though!!
