He, there is Goldbug. No relationship with Bumblebee, just like Galvatron and Megatron. Super.

Yeah it is Scrounge. Hasn't he appeared in another IDW comic before? Liking the fact that Goldbug and Bumblebee are not the same character.

Yeah it is Scrounge. Hasn't he appeared in another IDW comic before? He was on the list in SL Wheelie. Don´t think he´s shown up in the "flesh" before, though.

Released on Wed in the States and Thurs here in the UK. I usually receive my comics from Steve on the Monday the following week from release, so if you've got yours ordered look forward to Monday!

It's in stock guys, it arrived on Thursday just as zedebo predicted. Nice comic, a bit light on story and there are questions unanswered, but the art is inspired. People should be receiving these today or Monday.

I really enjoyed this SL, good pace and packed a lot into a short amount of space due to its double page storyboarding. I feel that the short stories in Coda will be like this, all action and good quick pacing.
However, if this was a film about Metroplex and you blinked you'd miss him. The fact that he only appeared for 4 double pages (apart from the glimpsing view in city mode on the second page) and only had 52 words in his own SL did disapoint me and didn't really give any insight into his personallity.
It would have made more sense to be SL:Goldbug guest starring Metroplex due to the fact that Goldbug's inner thoughts where the mainstay of the story line.

Well I want to know what the "IT" Metro mentioned is. maybe a set up for the new ongoing IDW series they mentioned?

Whatever the 'IT' is I definitely think it's going to have a major part to play in either the ongoing or one of the mini's that's going to come out. There's a lot of speculation on the IDW forums about it either being the Matrix or the Magnificence. As we know from AHM Megatron has the Matrix but the one he possesses could be a dummy version, as is suggested on the IDW forums.

I got to say I was disappointed, I was really looking forward to this and although it was a good story and pacing I been waiting to find out about Metroplex and he was hardly in it and then had no character development. I think this was a missed opportunity, Metroplex has never really been developed as a character and this could have been the chance to do that.

I can understand the need for a build-up before Metroplex appears but that's no excuse for the lack of character development. It would have been possible for Goldbug and co. to be taking refuge in the city and seeing more clues that it was alive and helping them in some way, building to the big reveal when the city transforms.
On the plus side the double paging worked really nicely and wasn't a triumph of art over plot that I feared it might be. Not that there was much to the plot. Lol. It's a shame that we don't find out Metroplex's mission, we probably should have since it was HIS spotlight and the ideal vehicle to learn about all things Metroplex.
On the other hand at least we're getting some plot threads laid down for the ongoing to start generating some excitement about that. Also pleased to see Goldbug as a seperate entity - I wonder if he and Bumblebee are related at all?

I'm just glad that someone has found a decent use for the Throttlebots other than just scraplet fodder!! Seriously, I hope that this is not the last time we see Metroplex, although it is hard to see how he could be used, unless Trypticon makes an appearance soon? But then why do we always put the two together?

But then why do we always put the two together? If I recall correctly Trypticon made an appearance in SL:Blaster along side the Predacons and looked nowhere near as big as Metroplex does, they where more on scale to their toy versions. Then again Devastator in AHM was far too big and looked like he'd be on a par with Metroplex's size. I sure that he'll reappear in the not to distant future and the secret of what he's hiding will come out.

This is more a spotlight Goldbug. I was waiting for Metroplex, and waiting. It is a good story, but like it is already said, a missed opportunity.

You are quite correct. Totally forgot about that! On a side note, I hope they continue to use lesser used characters (certainly as far as the original Marvel US and UK comics are concerned)
