interesting. have to admit its mad to think after all these years no ones really focused on what alien species familiar with transformers think of em. its an interesting angle and worth exploring more. to be controversial its got connotations of what happens when super powers (i.e nations not heros ) invade other countries and the legacy of resentment it leaves behind. obviously from this alot of aliens see em as an imperial force (which to be fair is megs agenda ! ) im liking subtle stuff like this more and more. its almost throwaway but adds so much to a story. im willing to give shane a chance to impress me so i'll probably get this. the art is beautiful to boot. LOVE the colours.

Looks really good, I like the artwork, and pretty much the view partholon has expressed, it is good to get the "outsider" take on the transformers. This reminds me of that special Nightbeat comic (still for sale I notice) where the aliens talk to Nightbeat and the dinobots. I guess the transformers are just a helluva lot tougher than organics (squishies) and as you say Megs being megs will just proceed to take over, just look at how the humans are being treated in AHM ;D (though they deserve it for taking up TF pages in the comics) so no small wonder no-one likes them.

Looks promising. It reminds me a lot of the Timelines Nightbeat comic too (still in stock incidentally) but it bugs me a bit that whenever TFs interact with aliens they look humanoid but are giants (by human standards that is). I'm thinking also of the Landmine and Cloudburst/Mecannibals stories from the 80s/90s Marvel. Why are they giants? It feels forced to me, like its very obviously just a plot device so TFs can interact with them.
So who reckons Drift is a Decepticon who defected to the Autobots?

Well, you wait ages for one Spotlight and then 2 come along at once!! IDW are spoiling us now.
I'm with you Steve, I think Drift was a Decepticon too, so I guess this SL will show his change of alligence.

The RI cover for Drift kinda gave it away, then Bumblebee berrating him on being true to yourself in AHM did it for me, so the 3 of us agree. We will find out soon if we were right

Drift spotlights have been posted. We guessed right about his Decepticon past but there's a lot more to it than that as you'll see!
