Yep, this opening scene looks like a flashback explaining the creation of the Insecticons following a lot of botched attempts (ie the Swarm). The only thing is though, whether this is going to contradict with Bombshell's appearance in Spotlight Blaster - so hopefully this AHM scene occurred many years ago.
On the other hand that calls into question why the seekers are in their Infiltration redesigns, as it would be logical that they only redesigned once they got to Earth and needed to blend in. Hopefully it'll all hang together... I think the Decepticon mad scientist is cool.
And does anyone else think it a bit odd that Thundercracker is questionning Megatron so openly. Normally an outburst like this would warrant retaliation or at least some scathing put down from Megs.

Lovely ;D I must say this series is picking up a bit now the artwork looks like it has returned to normal seekers looking like they did in escalation etc etc... Thundercrackers open questioning does seem to go unpunished; maybe Megatron can let minor transgressions slide but bust his troops up bad if they go too far (like Ramjet) Nice concept idea for the swarm. Looking forward to finding out who the traitor is

Maybe Megatron agrees with what hes saying but as leader is putting the ends above the means.

just seen the AHM cover A issue 8 Sunstreaker and Sideswipe!
Sunstreaker is the traitor, he was so cheezed off at just being a head in Scorponoks basement and left for absolutely dead guess that he has taken it out on the autobots and snitched to megatron ;D I am sure the experience would create some deep seated anger issues

Here's that cover - www.oneshallstand.com/shop/allhail/allhail8.htmlIt's not necessarily Sunstreaker who's the traitor. Maybe he finds out the real culprit and gets taken out before he can tell the others. Sideswipe finds Sunstreaker deactivated and gets the blame, especially as the pair argued in AHM7.

Got and read it today. Boy, what an intense issue!
SPOILERS AHEAD:
Ironhide tearing into Mirage was sick. Sunstreaker going ballistic also. How a non-Headmaster Sunny fits into the whole continuation is a different story, though...

you know ive got more jazzed by that ONE page with thundercracker than i have by any dialogue in the series so far. i HAVENT bought this yet so if what i say afterwards is stupid forgive me but im holding off till max dinos 3 is out to get em both. as mentioned it does indeed look like the creation of the insecticons and that does fly in the face of spotlight blaster but i posted on another site that that doesnt necesaraly mean it cant be shoehorned into continuity. the theory i had was this was the RE creation of the insecticons so megs could use bombshell's cerebro shells gain, and the reason he hasnt used the process before hand is because its dead universe tech looted from monstructor (which mustve happend anyway to get devestator in this ! ) or jhiaxus's fallen comrades. its certainly explains megs specific questions to him. any way its out now so you guys know whether theres a reason or its just a glaring contintuity problem. getting back to TC its great to see him finally SAY something and its putting his demenor in the previous issues into context. your right it IS a practically sucidal move to talk to megs like that but it DOES illustrate that TC ISNT a sadist or a thug. he's just a decep because he had to choose SOME side and thought megs would be the winning one. he's a soldier following orders and while tham means he's no problem carrying them out he DOES have a moral compass. as he said they did this to their own, loyal decepticons by the sound of it. that'd appall ANY soldier. the fact megs DOESNT kill him tends to make me think he AGREE'S with TC but still thinks the experiment, and its high failour rate, was worth the outcome. which i now think is to use bombshell on a high ranking autobot to comit "treason". hence ending the war. with him thought dead the bots probably dont have reason to try and detect cerebro shell's anymore. its kinda like megs moral version of dropping the bomb on japan. three thousand suffering deceps for victory. at least thats MY idea. could be utter bollocks either way im getting this book and it looks like from the responce of others that its a blinder !

There's a theory going around, that I've read on other forums, about Bombshell's appearance in SL:Blaster. Some people are saying that the Bombshell in that was a non-transforming protype that Soundwave was working on before he came to Earth in 1984. That was then used as the basis for the Insecticon design by Megatron.
