The All Hail Megatron writer Shane McCarthy has been kind enough to take part in a question and answer session with OneShallStand.com. He's giving his thoughts on criticisms of AHM and offering a couple of hints as to what's coming up. www.oneshallstand.com/articles/shane-mccarthy.htmlA big thank you to Shane for taking part! Post your comment below.

Still no explanation on some things though; why are the seekers now F15's? I just want a simple, in continuity, answer!

Still no explanation on some things though; why are the seekers now F15's? I just want a simple, in continuity, answer! Yep, Shane basically suggested that TFs have the ability to reformat their alt modes at will, and that is probably what happened here. What he doesn't say is why a seeker jet modelled on a modern fighter plane would want to switch to a now obselete 1980s jet. My own feeling is that somebody, Hasbro or IDW or Guido or Shane himself, decided to revert characters back to their traditional forms as part of the whole strategy of widening the appeal of the book. It's been said that IDW felt the Furman story was becoming convoluted and Shane's soft reboot would create a new uncomplicated jumping on point for new readers. I suspect someone decided to play to the nostalgia of these potential readers even more by restoring the TFs to their more familiar traditional modes. If this is the case I'd prefer Shane to say so. His answer is not wrong but I suspect he's not giving the full picture.
