Wow this should be cool... Blurr gets his own spotlight and a rather nifty redesign. Word is this book is out in December and it'll be drawn/coloured by two fans who are better known for their work on TF Mosaics. Script will be by All Hail Megatron's Shane McCarthy. I love Blurr's intro here. His stepping out of the shadow reminds me of Gladitor, while the wings on his head module come to mind The Flash or Mercury the Greek god. Given the racing theme its a shame the book is not out in the summer with the Olympics going on. Any thoughts on what the story will be about? I'm betting Blurr does a Dwain Chambers and gets banned for performance enhancing drugs. The stuff is so potent he's permenantly high and talking at 100mph.

Hmm yes. Especially as its the same writer doing this and All Hail Megatron, there might be some crossover.
I'm leaning towards the opening scenes being set on Cybertron in the distant past. It seems very idylic, possibly Blurr at the top of his sporting game, but as we know the planet is a devastated husk that's toxic to Transformers.
So I reckon the action will swiftly jump to the present day where Blurr's current assignment will be in stark contrast to his heyday. Probably by the end he'll achieve some measure of redemption.

These preview pages contain everything that makes Blurr good - speed, that cool thing on top of his head, no talking.

I thought they would wrap up with Spotlights because of how they used them in the Revelations arc so I am very glad to see they are still continuing with them. I think with Blurr we have the autobot trio spotlight set Hotrod and Kup. Be interesting to see if there is a connection between them in the IDW continuum.
Artwork looks cool and I would go for the same as you Steve on this. Looks like the past "golden age" of Cybertron for sure. I hope they weave this into a bigger linking story. What I mean is for me the wekaer spotlights have been the independent one shots, like Ramjet and Mirage (still good but...)

What I mean is for me the wekaer spotlights have been the independent one shots, like Ramjet and Mirage (still good but...) I dunno, I kinda like the one shot ones. Sometimes there can be too much build up with a series (whether TV or comics) and it sometimes just can’t live up to the expectations it makes for itself. Perfect examples on TV could be the x-files and lets face it lost pretty defines the principle. After a while I just got fed up with both building up to something that never happened so I bailed. Is anyone else reading dc’s final crisis? It’s driving me mental that there’s all this build up, and nothing happening. I like the fact that the one shots give us a glance into someone else without all the baggage. I can think of loads of other bots I'd love to get one. Some of the city bots like Metroplex or Trypticon (who we know they are recognising as he was on the montage cover for Stormbringer) I love the fact that IDW are making it mainly G1, but with a twist. Jhiaxxus was G2 Marvel exclusive, and they've used him and Ramjets minions were basically Mini-con(structicon)'s, so how about some more guys from other continuities reimagined and thrown into the mix?

I would not be surprised if they decide to merge a few of those other worlds as one and the same as the current one. Then they don't need to give reasons on why those other bots exists.
