It seems EJ Su is on art duties for the final TF Revelations instalment and he's pulled out all the stops from what I can see. I don't whether he's trying out a new style, or if its colouring or something else but it sure looks different. It's fitting EJ is doing the book as Revelations #4 (aka Spotlight Sideswipe) is the conclusion to three years of Simon Furman's 'ation saga, which EJ was involved in from the start.

I dunno whether EJ has a new drawing style or whether it's the colouring (probably the colours), but this looks strikingly different to TF books so far. I like the opening page but overall I'm not sure about this new style - thoughts anyone?
On the other hand its brilliant to see Straxus back in a TF comic. I hope he get's a decent airing, and perhaps even uttering his infamous quote 'Mercy is not dispensed here fools... only death'. He's still using the axe! Coooool.

have to add my voice to that too. not to diss the other lads but i think theyve kinda fell into a rut in terms of how TFs are drawn and it limits what can be done with em. EJs stuff here is gorgeous and shows how adventurous the artists could be. reminds me of the painted stuff geoff did in the deaths heads trade only not a shiny. cant wait for this one just a pity that AHM really is the core product now. no offence to shane and unlike what some others have posted on other sites ive enjoyed it too. it just feels like the fans are getting jipped for a marketing exercise. i know chris has mooted reboots on marvel and DC books but TBH i havent liked them that much either and they inevitably resort to type anyway. still not to be down. this looks to be great and the lads in the states have it already and are raving. considering the attacks doubledealer got for having to compress so much into so little space thats got to be a good thing !

I think EJ has really stated to come into his own, definatrly improved since when he first started with the Inflitration series.

Spoilers for those who haven't read this yet.
Well I have to say that Furman has done a excellent job in tying up a lot, if not the majority of the plot threads that he has been weaving throughout the -ation series. For me this was a excellent read (were there more pages than the previous issues, this seemed a bit meatier) plenty going on, yet it didn't feel rushed. I also liked how S.F. has left the way open for some future story lines, what with Hardhead, Gorlam Prime (Cybertron 2), the hand of Galvatron at the end and we still have to find out about Sunstreaker, Verity and Jimmy. I say bring on Maximum Dinobots (should make AHM more bearable).

Yeah agreed, this was well written in the end, considering how much was going on. I liked the use of the pretender shells. Much better than the marvel use of trying to blend into other societies. Looks like I was wrong with Primes ending. Wonder what happens there? Overall though it did wrap up several loose ends, but still left some as well.

I liked it but I think probably could have done with another issue in the series just to give it a little more room to breathe overall. I really liked the art work to.

I really enjoyed this final issue, thought Furman pulled it off with style but it was obvious that this had been condensed and crammed into 4 issues; there was tons gong on and seeing it all rushed through was a shame I reckon an extra 2 issues would have made this a legendary series. Why did IDW decide to chop Furmans issue run? This is ironic when I think how slow and non-eventful AHM has been for the first 3 issues. I loved the artwork and like the way Furman left plenty of things open to develop new storylines. I am making a guess that "the darkness" that lodged in prime is what is making him ill in AHM. Hope to find out in the coming months if that be the case

I found it all a bit rushed, which is a bit sad considering the slow pace that AHM is developing at. This series would have read significantly better if a) it had been spread over 6 or even 8 issues and b) there hadn't been the need to market these as Spotlights - which they quite clearly weren't.
On a related note I have to say that I'm not impressed with IDW's vision of Optimus Prime yet. On the two occasions he's been in a fight he's had his ass whupped (first by Megs then by Nemesis). I found the DW version of Prime to be far more how I always have envisioned him; strong, powerful, wise and compassionate.
Hopefully IDW will pick it all up again soon as they, to me at least, appear to be fizzling out somewhat after a brilliant start.

Agreed on the rushed notion, but given what he had at hand, SF did a great job. Especially the panel with Jetfire standing behind Prime, holding Bludgeon´s weapon forebodes nicely into AHM. However, I didn´t understand how the guys got past Sixshot and straight to the Nega-Core?
