This one was a nice change of pace, reminded me a lot of the tv series, especially the 2nd series where there were lots of one-off slightly oddball stories. After reading the Avengers crossover I was worried this was going to suck big-time, but I really like the way he characterised Ramjet as a kind of Bond villian type who enjoys explaining his plans more than thinking them through. Art was superb in places, but Megatron looked kind of awkward, especially the last page. The only bit that really bugged me is why
*SPOILER*
Meg's left Ramjet's hand at the Pentagon & his leg at the EU energy research place. Nobody at those two places knew anything about Ramjet or his schemes, so who was he supposed to be sending a message to?
I'm interested as to whether that universal Cybertronian GPS type-thing will pop up later once we have all manner of Transformers running around on Earth, could come in very handy.
Other than that I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I wouldn't like to see this kind of story all the time, but I think it really showed up the genius of the Spotlight concept.

I liked it. Kinda reminded me of the stand alone stories from the annuals and UK back-up strips. While it doesn't really answer any questions it does kinda bring up one or two other ones: will we see Ramjet alive again?, why didn't Megs use the universal locator to find the autobots on Earth plus a few others I will probably think of after a second read. I agree Megs did look very very awkward on the last page and kinda out of the character that was set up at the end of Escalation and the start of Devastation....

I liked how they skirted over the TF/Avengers series without explicitly stating anything ... so maybe the crossover doesn't have to be in continuity after all.
This could easily have been Spotlight Starscream, had he not been out of the way in a CR chamber. It was nice to see a different seeker plotting against Megs for a change. However his fate was never in doubt. Shame. I was kind of hoping he'd succeed to some degree.

Maybe that Miniconstructicon will get his own Spotlight and be out to avenge Ramjet

Talking about characters for spotlights, I wouldn't mind seeing a spotlight on either Thunderwing or Bludgeon. We have been given hints at their backgrounds and how it ties into the continuity, but I am still interested as to why Bludgeon has no lower faceplate or mouth. Is this for show, or is there another reason? Also why does he always seem to have strange followers?

Don't have him, but I agree that I think he was based on the Classics figure. I like that they used a random alt mode on Earth, the F22 update for the original 3 seekers works well for them, but I don't think it would have worked for Ramjet (or Thurst and Dirge).
