After four decades of exploring the galaxy, Leonard Nimoy announced last April that he would be retiring from acting. Even though he had experienced a recent career surge after his work with J.J. Abrams in the latest "Star Trek" movie and on TV's "Fringe," Nimoy stated very plainly that he would stop appearing in front of the camera and focus entirely on his passion for photography. It won't be the first time Nimoy has provided the voice for a Transformer. He also worked on 1986's animated "The Transformers: The Movie" as the voice of Galvatron. Nimoy was also rumored to be up for a voice-over role in 2009's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." Director Michael Bay told MTV at the time that he was hesitant to ask Nimoy to do a role because he couldn't offer much money for the job. Director Michael Bay told MTV at the time that he was hesitant to ask Nimoy to do a role because he couldn't offer much money for the job. You'd have thought that Nimoy being married to bay's cousin Susan would have given him some slack in that department.
